Default 2010 GT 3.73 Rear End

Has anyone been able to find a GT with this installed or is it something that has to be installed by the dealer after production? None of the Ford dealerships in my area have any GTs in stock with the 3.73 rear and don't seem to have heard of it before.

It is an option from the factory. I have it on mine as do several others on thie site. Now the Track Pack is a different story.

Hmm, I wonder why I can't find any in my area then. Maybe I need to talk to some different dealerships.

I ordered mine with it, but my local dealer has at least 6 on the lot with the 3:73 rear-end pkg as well

I think my problem is that there are about a dozen small dealerships but no big dealerships around. I found one about 20 mins away that has a couple with the 3.73 rear end.

Isn't speeding like a felony in Ohio? Glad you found some though!

can't your small dealerships trade cars with other dealerships in your state?

Here, you just tell them what you want and they'll track it down. If you are trying to get one for a test drive, then yes, you'll probably need to go to a major dealership.

Any Ford dealership should be able to get and install them. Be wary of the install. Lots of reports of gear whine if done improperly.

The 3.73 rear axle package comes with:

- Dual piston calipers
- Performance front brake pads
- Performance 3.73 axle ratio
- Recalibrated electronic stability control

Nah, just really expensive if you get caught. There are enough "dumb" speeders that don't pay attention to the road, conditions, etc and don't have a detector that you can easily get away with speeding. Being aware of what is going on around you in combination with a good radar detector and some laser veil will keep you out of most tickets.

I'm sure they could, but I like to haggle (who pays sticker price??) and I'm sure that they would use this as an excuse not to come down on the price at all.

This is why I want to find one with the gears already installed.
