Default Faux Gas Cap Question

Is the center medallion on the faux gas cap removable? I thought I read somewhere that it is, but from the pictures I've seen it doesn't reallly look like it. Can sombody confirm if the center medaliion is or is not removable? Thanks

Don't think it is but wouldn't be surprised if it would be. What do you want to do?

I want to keep the faux gas cap I have and have a custom center medallion made. Just trying to figure out the depth I'm going to want on my custom badge, if it's going to replace the center medallion or just overlay it.

He is not talking about removing the "whole" thing. He only wants to replace the very center of it that has the "GT" on it.

@ Sleep Deprived, I still have my old one sitting at my house. I'll take a look at it tonight and let you know. But I'm betting its only glued in place.

Well, it looks like this isn't going to happen unless I can find someone to make the custom center peice and fender badges I need. Unfortunately, I want to do custom tri-bar pony emblems but the logo is copywrighted by Ford and nobody will touch my request. Hmm...

CW, I sure would appreciate that though...just in case I can find somebody to do this.

You could write to Ford and ask them for permission to have the badges done for your personal use.

check this link out....They can do custom decals that get stuck on over the original center part.

Here's a thread about it, and where I saw the above pic...

Hope this gets you in the right direction.

Yeah, I've seen those...cool, but not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though.
