Just broke 300 miles, still only about 14 mpg.

Oh well, we don't buy these cars for the mileage!

I do 50% highway and 50% city and consistently get 18mpg. I have a manual with 3.31s and about 5000 miles on the clock.

I'm still breaking in my motor...but at around 700 miles total have gotten 24 mpg (100% highway) on my first tank, 21.3 mpg (60/40 highway/city) on my second and am currently getting around 21 mpg on my 3rd tank (60/40)

(1st tank of around 90 miles was used moving the car in a dealer trade so no data on that).

This is all with pretty gentle acceleration (though I was switching in and out of 4th and 5th to vary engine speeds on the first tank so I may be able to get better than 24 mpg once broken in for 100% highway)

I have the 3.73 rear axle

I just Picked mine up the other day. Its a Convertible GT, with a 5 Speed manual. I drove like GRANDMA for about 50 Miles. (35 of them were at about 75 on the highway, and the rest was on a back road going about 45)

Again, I was TRYING to get good mileage, and with the Top Down, I pulled 28MPG for that trip!!! (According to the Computer)

QUite happy with that, and the car only has like 120 miles on it!

Same here. I'm on my 3rd 4Runner (had a '90 2nd gen, '00 3rd gen and now an '08 4th gen; all V6's) which is my DD and I'm lucky to get 22-23 MPG highway with that. That's why the Stang is used for those 400-2000 mile trips I often take (unless the Stang is stored for the winter). The sweetspot on the 4Runner is 60 and below. But for a V6 it tows damned well!
