Snow Tires
#26
As for the OP.....I use my '99 in the winter, with a couple sand bags and some snow tires and it drives like a Champ....and we got a ton of snow in Michigan last year. Just remember you're driving in snow and you'll be fine, but that goes for any car. I think you'll be amazed how well those tires work in snow to be honest.

My 09 GT will be driven in the winter, but it's not that bad here in Jersey - by next winter hopefully I'll have a winter beater. Anyhoo, today I pulled the trigger and I bought some Blizzaks and threw them on an extra set of fanblades! Excited to see how well these work in the snow! Thanks for this thread!!

LOL, when I get more financially stable (translation: ready for my 2nd Pony, this time a GT) and my current car is older and kinda beat up I'll use it for winter driving only. How nice it must be to have a 'Stang for every season!

So true....I'm absolutely loving having one for each season! ....and I did exactly what you are talking about. Bought my '99 V6 new 10+ years ago and have put over 165K miles on her. Then picked up my '08 GT last year and use one for each season. I plan to baby my '08 GT and plan to see if I can get my '99 to 250K+ miles....just to show what she can do. Not to mention, it was my first car and I think it would be awesome to still have it 30+ years from now.
