Default Exhaust, MM system

I have seen videos on you tube and i think it sounds good but i want to hear it from the people who have it. I have an off road x pipe and am putting on the pypes MM system. How does it sound for those of you who have it, or have heard it.

I love my MM set up. Going with an H pipe as I like the deeper sound rather than the raspier type. As it sets with just the MM on it, I love the sound already.

Yes, it does fit like crap, that's why I don't list pypes in my signature, best off to just get a couple m80s and have them welded in.

Mid mufflers are definetly one of the best sounding setups for the S197! i just recently switched out my borlas for M-80s with my catted H pipe and was blown away! mines loud as hell with cats...so it will be even louder with an O/R pipe. IMO.i have a pypes O/R h with bassani race cats welded in and just got a set of M-80s from jegs and had them welded in.
it sounds amazing at WOT, but its kinda loud all the time so i gotta watch out for the cops.
heres a quick sound clip from inside the car with the windows down, not the best quality as all i have to record is a digital camera and it really does no justice to how loud or deep the sound really is!

Hmm I don't think it's that loud but I'm inside all the time so maybe it is. I know my Dad said he hears me coming. It's definitely pretty good at WOT but just tooling around I don't think it's that bad and I have high flow cats with shortie headers. It is deep, no mic pics it up right, you can also here it at idle which is one of the things I didn't like about any of my previous setups, they were to quiet at idle. I have had no issues with cops at all and I see quite a few of them in my area. I've actually been pulled over twice (Speeding, roll though stop) and both times let go with a "Nice Car" comment.

Like I've said in other posts, guys with big block 70's cars (427's, 454, 455, etc) say my exhaust sounds good and I have a fellow club member with a GT500 that hates my exhaust because it sound so much better then his

Some vids (Sound isn't that good)..

Its pretty loud on the outside! everyone tells me it screams when i jump on it. some of my neighbors love it and some hate me! LOL .its a bit too much for me for everyday driving, but i do love the way it sounds! ive since put my macs on the car and they sound really good with the m-80s , they actually made them deeper and reduced the drone alot...so im planning on getting a good set of elecrical cutouts and having them placed just after the M-80s ,that way i can be loud when i want to and more civilized when i need to! as for the cops...it all depends on where you live. around here they dont all have such a good sense of humor or an appreciation of muscle cars as i do, so some will give you a problem! but in the end, the mid mufflers do sound the meanest and cleanest of any setup ive ever heard for these cars!

starfire said it right, get the m80s and weld them in adj fuel tank, the muffler back pipes fitment sucks, i fight with mine a lot and still hear random grinding noises, hangers/brackets. but you wont be disappointed with the sounds
