Default Mod time but not sure what to get!

I'm ready to start modding but not sure where to start.

I was already to get the Roush exhaust, but I have always put mods that don't make power or improve handling down on the list. But love the way it sounds.

I have to say this time the exhaust is first on the list.

Next is a tuner and lowering springs. Most likely an SCT tuner as most of the mustang tuners here use it. But I haven't seen good gains with just a tuner to justify it just yet. I know the throttle response is better and alot of the torque management is change to make the car better.

I'm pretty sure the Ford Racing 5300-K springs are re-badged Eibach Pro-kits so either are on the list.

It is either the exhaust or the tuner and springs for now.

So I can get a great sounding exhaust or I can get a little bit of power, alot of throttle response along with a lower and slightly better handling ride.

I got some more research to do!

What would you do?

CAI, Tune, Exhaust, & Lowering Springs are a great way to get started. Can't speak for the 2010's, but on the 05-09's you could definitely feel an improvement in performance.

I'd do the tuner and springs first. The car sounds really good even with the stock exhaust IMO.

I did the Roush exhaust 1st, and my next mod is going to be CAI w/ Tuner. I heard nothing but positive things with doing a CAI and Tuner.

I'll be shopping around for the Roush exhaust and if I can get a good deal on it I might squeeze in the springs also.

I haven't seen or heard of good gains with just a programmer at all. I have a Magazine and they only got a few HP/TQ from the tuner but they did state it was a different beast. Seemed more seat of the pants feel then what it showed on the dyno.

The intakes don't look to promising. The only one I think I might have interest in is the JLT intake after they finish it up. I'll probably get back to dynoing a baseline then mod after mod to see if I can show some real world gains instead of manufacturer claims.

I think I will save the tuner for when the CAI's start to come out so I have a better choice.

With springs I'm almost wanting to put them up and collect more of the suspension before I install everything....my own track pack. But I'm not sure I want to go that far with the Mustang.
