JET performance chip?

Anyone use one? For the small price, I was thinking it may be worth looking at. Any thoughts?

I am also curious to know how the Superchips hand held tuner measures up to the others. This is probably a dumb question but is the Superchips Tuner the same as the SCT X-cal?

For $200 I hope it would add something!

Before you invest any money in it I would see if anybody had any dyno results with it. Call a dyno shop that tunes Mustangs and ask them about the product and see if they have done a dyno with that product on.

You may get some increases but as I can tell it is a canned / safe tune. Small gains compared to the flash tuners (Diablo / SCT). Also, you cannot modify the tunes, so add a CAI and now you have to buy a real tuner. Change tire / wheel size, change gears... flash tuner needed. So it sounds good up front but there is no vertical upgrade path. I have heard that some can be reflashed for adds, but the cost after a flash may equal the handheld prices.

On my dyno i have had 3 cars come in with Jet chips ALL lost HP. 2-5 hp loss. Thought it was funny as hell. Then i tuned with SCT and bam. Happy and no probs.

SCT2 or Predator... seems to be the way to go... why limit yourself?

The Jet chip is awsome, especially when used with the turbonator and a drop in K&N![sm=joke.gif]
