I am looking at getting a used xcal 2. I have found one (on here actually) that has the JDM tunes on it. The car it was on was stock and so is mine (minus the carbon filter and added flowmaster axle back) It was programmed for a GT as is mine. The previous owner said he returned his car to stock as he is trading it in (which is a shame in and of itself) Are there any other questions I should ask him before I buy it? Further, being as they are JDM tunes and they dont include the file with theirs how will I change my tune for upgrades in the future? Does Xtream Tune let you select different options? Thanks all for your help.

First thing you will have to do is find a SCT dealer to give it to for them to unlock it. The XCals marry the PCM they are used with.

Do you know about how much that would cost? Are most dealers pretty cool about doing that or pissy you didn't buy from them?
