well...

changing your oil yourself voids your warranty.
going to jiffy lube voids your warranty.
doing any sort of detail work voids your warranty.
changing spark plugs will void your warranty.
looking at the car at night will void the warranty.
starting the car without priming the oil pump will void the warranty.


For real now, PLEASE use the search function. This question has been asked/answered many many many times. The answer to it is simply: there is no answer. Short of actually removing your engine and replacing with a different one, there is no firm answer. The MMA says that a dealer must prove that a modification you made is the cause of the problem. The law is vague enough to give both consumer and selling breathing room.

Hey... Replacing your Ford Engine with a Dodge or Chevy engine.. WILL Void your Warentee!

so if you switch out your engine.. don't take it to your Ford Dealer to have engine warentee work done!..

You have no idea how glad I am to pass the torch to you. I was the MMA police here for several months and just got sick and tired of repeating myself. Got to the point that I was actually using this as my response to that question.

almost every dealer will give you different opinions on this, call your dealer and ask them.
