Default 2005 GT insurance question Best insurance/service?

I'm not quite sure this is the right section to be asking this, but does anyone here reccomend a good insurance company? I'm in southern California and I know my rates will probably be higher than other areas, but does anyone know which companies are good companies? I know mercury insurance is the cheapest, but I also know they really leave their customers high and dry when they need help. I'm in my late 20's over 25, if that helps in your suggestions, and I have no traffic violations or accidents on my record. Thanks.

I use esurance. I have received a quote for a GT and it is about $15 over my V6 per month.

It's my first time with this company so I can't tell you much - only that they are the rock bottom of what I saw when I started to shop around.

I'm with Progressive, mine went up $1 a month over my 2001 Explorer Sport 4X4. It's listed as a sub-compact car, hahahaha.

Progressive wouldn't insure us with a Mustang - odd since I'm 43 and have had NO wrecks where I was at fault; no wrecks in 5 years and
no tickets since 1998 (and I went to school for that one). I've heard others say they have Progressive as well. Go figure.
We have Gieko and have had them for years. My wife hit a cow (rural country road) and Gieko was very responsive and quickly
handle the claim. We've checked with all the major companies around us and none could be the deal we were getting.

San Diego, California...

I recommend Allstate no matter what anyone else says. I haven't had any problems, and the only companies that can beat my rate are the low ball ones that leave you high and dry.

(619) 472-7100 ask for Veronica, she owns the branch. Tell her Mike Anderson recommended you. I've already had one 05' destroyed, no problems with them.

I've been with them for over 6 years.

Progressive. From an '03 GT to the '05 GT vert, premium went up $8/year. No tickets in past 7 years (knock on wood) and never had a claim.

I"m with Amercian Family.

They are charging me $7 a month more then what I was paying on my 02' BMW 325cis.

However... I believe AMF will not insure persons under 25 years old on a sports or performance car.

I just had to dump Allstate. I had a tree fall right thru the middle of my mercedes and they wouldn't fix it. Thay didnt even give me the blue book average price, and it appraised by THEIR guy as above average. I am now suing them not only for the lowballing they did, but the entire aggravation of the whole incident. They continually dragged their feet. Towed my car to a different city so when I was forced to pay my appraiser to value, i couldn't use him. It was a TOTAL mess and i highly advise never using Allstate. I was loyal to my agent that i had been with for 18 years and never even shopped. Now I am with Eerie and am paying about $1,785 a year for a Mercedes ML500, Lexus GS300, AND the mustang gt 2005 convertible. MUCH lower than allstate was. Whatever you do...shop around
