Loose clips on seat upholstery

Loose clips on seat upholstery
I was vacuuming yesterday and while working under the front of the driver's seat I noticed the front of the upholstery was not secured. There is a plastic clip than runs along the front edge (attached to the upholstery) that is supposed to be snapped to a metal rail under the seat. It took a bit of work to get it snapped into place. I checked the passenger front seat and sure enough, that one was hanging loose too. I'm not sure if it was never secured at the factory or if they pop loose over time. It's not noticable from above, but if you feel down the front of the seat you can tell it's loose if it's not attached. Anyone else notice this problem?

Yup. Actually there was a thread about this not too long ago....or it could have been on another board. Don't remember. But anyway, to answer your question, yup. Both seats are that way.

Thanks, I have not seen the other thread. So do they keep popping off or were they just not snapped on at the factory? Mine have not popped back off since I snapped them back on (but it's only been a few days).

I got to drive in the rain for the first time yesterday. I am not used to that much torque available... sort of fun power sliding through turns!

And St. Louis has LOTS of those. Get off the main roads and there's like ZERO shoulder!
My buddy lives off of "K" and it is amazing that I haven't SEEN any cars in the ditch because
he said it happens daily!
