As for the CEL why don't you delete it first and stop worrying about it until it comes back. You already said that you forgot to plug something back up!!!!

Uh, but you also said the car went into limp mode and after you reconnected whatever it was you forgot to connect it went away.
Just go reset the CEL and see what happens. If it comes back then worry about it. If it goes away, then awesome... But why on earth would you try and fix something that you may have already fixed, you could potential waste a lot of time and hurt something else a long the way. ONE STEP AT A TIME!!!
STEP ONE: CLEAR CEL AFTER FIRST FIX!!!
STEP TWO: SEE IF CEL COMES BACK!!!
STEP THREE: DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT UNTIL STEP 1 and 2 ARE DONE!!!

Ya, limp mode went away after reconnecting the sensor but cel was still on so I did disconnect neg terminal of battery and I still had cel. But I'll listen to step 3 seeing as I'm away from my car till fri. Lol, thanks for the peace of mind.

well I know you were dying to know...got home, disconnected battery, found another sensor by the underdrive pulley that was partially unplugged, and like magic it disappeared! We're good to go again!
