I have the Pro kit and LTs with x-pipe and hi-flow cats. I scrape all of the time going over speed bumps and sometimes driveways. I have busted the cats several times and had to have them welded up. I would go with the 1 1/2 inch drop if I were you.

Information in my sig. steeda comps and 275/40 f 305/35 r on 18's. Sounds like many are scraping the cats, which has never happened to me w/ the JBA h-pipe/LT header setup. Some midpipes must tuck better. I've only had off-road h and catted h, never an x-type.

K first off the reason why it sits high is because it is made to be a muscle car in factory trim. Secondly you will hate it after three months as it eats away at your stock shocks and bounces you like a lowered civic hatch. Also, as for scraping your mid pipe, that is the least of your worries, i scrapped my rearend where my gears sit, nearly breaking the cover. The ford racing springs are the lowest these cars are meant to go. I switched from sportline to ford racing, which is still lower than the pro kit. I, just like you hate the high stance and thought the pro kit was too high. With the ford racing 1.5 inch drop, my front sits just as low as the sportline kit, but my back is a half inch higher. Trust me you can tell it is dropped with the ford racing kit, it is pretty dam low. The sportline is a joke, and should be only on cars the do auto road racing. I highly recommend new shocks, because even if you do go with ford racing your shocks will sh*t on themselves. Sportlines are a huge mistake, but if you do decide to go with them, and you are VERY VERY careful then you MUST get new shocks and struts, either the Eibach pro dampers, ford racing shocks and struts, or tokico d-specs. If you dont you will hate your car over time, TRUST ME it was a big money loss for me. $250 for the sportlines, dumped em, then $159 for the frrp springs, and $500 for the tokicos.

also to add to that, my car handled better with ford racing, and was much smoother of a ride

Silversuferv6: Thanks for your input, See i though that the pro kit was the same as the Ksprings from ford racing. Please correct me if im wrong but after doing some homework, there not. They seem to drop the car just a little bit more than the Pro-Kit. If i can get an agreement or two on that ill being have a set of Kspring on there way to my house next week!!!

Also no matter what drop i would do if moving perpendicular to a speed bump or what have you there would be no way it could hit your pumpkin the size of your tires would hit and roll you over them unless you have like 8" wheels on your car. The only way a solid object could hit your pumpkin is if you stradled something like a speed bump then i could see you hitting your pumkin, but i guess things can happen.

Im gonna weld some taps on my exhaust tonight to see if they will rub the ground over the next few days to the estimated size of a 2" drop. But if i can find a solid number not approx on the Ksprings that may be my ticket and there cheaper, Money towards D-specs instead of STR.T
