Default Installing HID fog lights. Relay needed?

I just received my HID kit for the fog lights and was curious if it should've come with a relay wiring harness? My bi-xenon HID headlights came with a relay harness so I'm curious. To those that have HID fog lights, did yours come with a relay harness? Is it ok to install the H10 HIDs without a relay?

Well it looks like I do need a relay harness to be connected to the battery and a ground to fire up the ballasts. Got one on order. Just connecting the ballast directly to the H10 fog lamp connector won't fire the ballast.

Depends on the kit, if its cheap junk or expensive junk with ballasts that peak to 15A on ignition, you absolutely need a harness. If they are efficient ballasts with ignition and ramp up max amps at 7.5A, you'll be okay without one. Unsure? Ask us or get a harness.

I got the H10 HID kit to work! Woohoo!!! All I had to do was reverse the polarity to the ballast. It's my mistake not looking at the wiring carefully because my fog lamp harness has an extension due to having center mounted fogs. Well, the extension wires going to the factory harness didn't have its coloring matched up red to red, black to black. It was reversed so all I did was reversed the connector on the ballast and now both ballasts fired right up.

tHATS WHAT i WAS GOING TO SAY.
yOU HAVE THE POLARITY TO THE FOG CONNECTORS BACKWARDS.
tHERE IS ALREADY A FOG RELAY IN THE BEC SO ANOTHER RELAY IS NOT NEEDED...
Fricken caps lock

I hope the ballasts were not damaged from the breif incorrect polarity problem...
