I have recently purchased a 2006 GT convertible with 42K and after a couple of weeks in my possession I have found that the top goes down intermittently. That is I can always power it up but it might go down the first time I try and back up but then when I try to repeat a few minutes later it will not go back down. It always goes back up (I can hear the motor turning if I press the up switch even when it is in the latched up position. I have narrowed it down to the switch or the mini relay #31. Has anyone had similar issues? If so have you replaced the switch and how tricky is it? It is no trouble to replace the relay if necessary.

I should note that when the top does not go down neither do the windows. This leads me to believe it may be the switch. Finally I have yet to switch the up and down mini relays; I will do so when the top stalls again in the down mode.
