The key to a jaw dropping finish isn't the wax or toppper as it's called in the business. The key to an unbelievable finish lies in the machine polishing step. This is where oxidation, fine swirls and water etching are abraded away using a either a random orbital polisher or for those more experienced, a rotary. This is where the magic happens. The top coat is where you add a little extra bling and get your protection. If you were going to skip the paint correction step of polishing and you are applying to a black car, I would use Clearkote RMG topped with Natty's Blue. This combo is beyond wet and relatively inexpensive. By the way, this is many years of professional detailing talking here. Here are the links:

I actually used this kit....got rid of all the water stains, the small amount of swirl marks i had. It's very time consuming with all the steps, but worth it.

turtle wax ice is real solid. Clay baring is by far the most legit though

Ok folks here's what I did.
I bought a Mothers Clay Bar, actually two.

Then I bought Mothers Pure Carnuba Wax. The one in the can not the liquid.
I was going to get Meguires Gold Class but it said not to use on anything rubber or vinyl and I have vinyl stripes. I'm not going to wax them but I did not want an OOPS to happen and then something bad come out of it.

So here's my plan.... and yes I am doing it all by hand.
Wash car, claybar, then wax.

1. Is Mother's Carnuba Wax a good product?
2. Will that wax last a long time?
3. Exactly how hard is it going to be to do this by hand?
4. Am I looking at having bad swirl marks waxing by hand with the kind in the tub and not the liquid?

Today I just used a clay bar, Meguiars paint cleaner/polisher, and a carnuba wax. I used a power buffer for the polishing and it performed miracles. I had bird crap stains and slight scuff marks and they all came out. Then I went over that with the carnuba by hand and it looks better than new right now. Im no pro and Im not going to claim things that I dont know but from experience I had found that polishing with a buffer helps get the swirls and marks out while waxing by hand helps leave a protective coating on. I dont think its necessary to wax with a buffer, it may be easier but no pressure needs to be applied.

Carnuba wax is a softer shiner wax that doesnt last as long as the harder stuff but protects well and looks great.

To answer your question carnauba wax like the one you bought will only last around 30 days. If you want longer protection then buy a sealant like Zaino Z5 which will last many months. Here's a 50/50 shot of what machine polishing or (Paint Correction) can do.

So the Mothers Carnuba Wax wont last long even though I got the kind in the tub and not the liquid?

Um wait the Zaino Z5 is a polish.
I thought you polish BEFORE wax? How could that seal a wax?

Also since I have to order zaino and need a product tommorrow.... what should I use?

Zaino confuses the heck out of people by calling their sealant a polish. Just think of Z2 or Z5 as a wax that lasts really long. Carnaubas will NOT last long at all but they give a nice warm glow that many people like as opposed to sealants. Also remember that not all of the products we are discussing play well together. For instance, you can put your Meguiars carnauba over Zaino but not the other way around. Zaino WILL NOT bond to a carnauba.
