A new SilverStar bulb
I have always thought the backup lights in my '06 were weak, to say the least. I tried some LED bulbs from Lethal Performance but they wouldn't work with the electronics.
I read Sylvania just came out with a #921 SilverStar bulb. I picked up 2 pair from AutoZone ($7.99 a pair). I put one pair in the backup lights, and one of the other pair in the third brake light, also a #921.
The improvment, while not tremendous, is noticable. Sylvania claims the new bulb is 30% brighter than the old bulbs. I think it was a decent mod.

Glad to hear that. I think I'll try one in the g/f's V6's third brake light before I try to mod it to make it brighter. The OE bulb is weak and it doesn't light up her "MUSTANG" decal end-to-end as well as we'd like.
