Default clutch free play

had my 2010 gt for a week seem like the clutch engages mid to near end of travel just wondering if this is normal. i'm use to driving my 1999 f-250 five speed so i may be over thinking this. stupid me cant remember if it was taking a hold closer to the floor.

You may just be used to a different clutch.

It happened to me the first time I test drove a 2010 GT. I had driven to the dealership in my '73 Beetle. You have to give that thing LOTS of gas to get it moving. When I got in the Mustang, I just about spun the tires and launched hard out of the parking lot!

Probably scared the salesman half to death.

;-)
