Default Best time to buy

Hi all,
I have a simple question about buying a used Mustang to a car dealer.
When is it easier to negotiate prices (Autumn, Winter, Spring or Summer ) ?
In fact when is it very difficult for them to sell cars ?
I my country I know that, but not for the USA.
Thanks for your help.

with the economy being the way it is, I say take advantage right now. dealers are really pressing for sells and going to all ends to make a deal...just know what you want to pay (make sure it's reasonable) and stick to your guns.

good luck

From August to December is usually best time if you want the current year vehicle(as opposed to the incoming year model) to strike a great deal. But as previously stated, its a buyers market right now on all things automotive(especially from the domestic automakers). Good luck!

Cars don't move well as it gets colder, especially sports cars. If you're not in the south, definately start pressing them. I've bought 2 vehicles in the past year; 1 new SUV about $3,000 below invoice and a used '06 V6 pony for $2,500 below BlueBook value.

i purchased my mustang about 2 months ago and got it out the door for just under the sticker price. there is no bad time right now to purchase a car. and since mustangs are pretty much "a dime a dozen" you can go to different dealerships and haggle.

tell them you want to see the cars invoice sheet. this will pretty much list out their costs for the vehicle itself as well as the different purchase plans, like the employee x plan. this gives you a great start to haggle on the price.
