But if you have red gauges you don't get the cool shift light effect!

You mean when the gauges turn red after you hit the "redline"?

It is not really a shift light but the rev limiter. I hit it a few times on the dyno.

You can adjust the coloring of the gauges, ambient lighting and the halos around the gauges.

Hey, Thanks. I love Mustangs especially with stripes. I think there are many different great looking color combinations, this was just my preference based on what was availabe for 2010...for many years I've been dreaming about getting another Stang, always thought it would be dark blue with white stripes..but then I saw a Hugger Orange with black stripes and that got me thinking.

There are seperate settings for Gauges, Halo, Ambient so you could have each of them a different color if you wanted.

Yeah, I'll try to stay off the rev. limiter...no need to twist a brand new engine that hard and I'm pretty sure you'd be past the peak of the power band by that time.

But does anybody know for sure that it comes on when you hit the limiter, or right before?

I made a pass the other day and noticed the red light came on for a split second. The car never hit the limiter, never fell on its face. In fact it was the strongest pass I've made, even broke the tires loose in 3rd. Felt REALLY good!

Thanks. Maybe I'll mess with it, if I ever get to drive my car. (Its not my daily)

I know in 4th gear when you hit it shuts down. You might have alittle more rpm in the lower gears.
