Mustang clubs

Just curious how many of you 05er's have joined a Mustang club. I myself belong to the Mustang club of America and a regional club of MCA. We have alot of fun at our mustang gatherings with all model years our oldest member is 80 and goes to all events. If you don't belong to one you don't know what your missing.

I joined the Charlotte Regional Mustang Club right after I bought my car. They are a great group of people with a ton of Mustang knowledge and some of the most beautiful Mustangs you could imagine. We have 450 members and usually average around 100 at a monthly meeting with 50-60 Mustangs in the parking lot when the meeting is over.

We meet the first Tuesday every month. The next meeting is August 2nd. Check out www.ponytales.org for more information. We have a big show planned in September at Dale Jarrett Ford in Indian Trail, NC. It is covered on the website. Our club has designed a new trophy that looks awesome we will be giving for Gold, Silver and Bronze winners. There is a special class just for 2005's. Everyone is welcome to come and show off their Mustangs and win a beautiful, unique Mustang Show trophy. Drive down on the 2nd and see us RICV05.

I joined a local club in Indy - not an MCA affiliate but I did just go to their show at the Indy Motor Speeday. I also joined the Saleen Club Of American. Mustang/Ford shows are a BLAST! Nothing quite like being in a secluded parking lot surrounded by 300+ Mustangs ;)

I joined M.O.C.G.B. - Mustang Owners Club of Great Britain

I never realised how many Mustangs were outside the US until I joined, nice to see some American cars over here since I have a dislike of European cars!!!

Sure thing - one is The Mustang Club of Indy. They are more of a purist type club, primarily the classics but some newer stangs as well. And Southside Mustangs of Indianapolis is more of a Fox Body and beyond club, with SOME classics - but they tend to be more into mods. Both clubs are very nice - I chose Southside because thats where I live. Where do you live - you ever go to The Suds in downtown Greenwood?? It is one of the top rated Cruise-in Locations around. You should check it out on Saturday evenings if its not too far.

Man I would love to, but I don't think another road trip is in the budget this year - plus September is a busy travel month for me at work. But email or PM me some details and I'll consider it - I never like to turn down a trophy or a beverage [8D]

I was in Jacksonville about a month ago. There were so many more mustings out there than I've seen in the midwest. Actually, my trip to visit family there is what got me started considering purchasing one.

I live in Fishers, so the south side is a bit of a hike. I may join MCI since it is closer, but haven't decided yet.

As for The Suds, I've never heard of it. I'll come check it out some time.

Thanks for the info. [sm=smiley20.gif]
