Default Do Ford service depts offer courtesy cars?

So I need to bring my car to Team Ford in GA on Friday to get the passenger side water leak fixed.

Anyways the rep said the work will likely take 3-5 days, and I need a car in the meantime, she didn't offer any courtesy car and said they had a rental service on the lot.

If they don't have a courtesy car, and I have to rent a car for the meantime, since Ford is fixing a problem that is their fault, shouldn't they cover the rental cost?

It'll be around 200 to get the rental for a few days...

Nope.

Unless you forked over some obscene amount of money for the extended warranty, you get NOTHING.

I bitched and complained when my car was in the shop for over 3 weeks.

Ford corporate only paid for 1 week and left me on the hook for the other 2.

Weak.

Courtesy Cars are exactly that...a Courtesy for you that the Dealership provides.

If you have a ESP from Ford, then you get Rental coverage for 5 days via that.

Otherwise, you are at the mercy of the Dealership. Best of luck

It is a 2007 GT coupe w/ 22k

I have the 36k warranty, the leak repair is being covered by this.

So does that mean rental coverage?

They offer a courtesy van...back to your house. That's all I'd expect from these places

the only time you will get a Rental for free is if you have the ESP Ford Warranty. This is an extra coverage you must purchase.

run from about $500-1,000 and cover damn near everything on the car if you have the PremiumCare ESP.

if you don't have the ESP, you are SOL and anything the Dealership does for you is out of the goodness of their hearts.

Sometimes you can moan enough about it and get the dealer to throw you a bone, but if you are 23, I think you are going to have a hard time getting a rental period. I think some agencies don't rent to people under 25, and others charge more.

It really depends on the dealership. So far I have a good relationship with mine and if I have to take one of my cars in for service that is going to take longer than a couple of hours, they will give me a rental. Even on my cars that I have no warranty on.

As far as renting a car, most rental places are strict about age policies but if you work for the government or are in the military you can be exempt from the restrictions.
Other wise, they "could" rent you a car but they are going to charge you waaaay more.
