hey guys, i took my 10 GT on a 750mile each way trip so it was a big ride from Maryland to Georiga!!! Sheww, now that im back home I am hearing a pinging or scraping sound coming from what sounds like the engine bay to me. I ran my brenspeed 87 Octane tune, all the way to and from. What would pinging sound like just to make sure im listening to the right things. It only does it when I get on her not mashed all the way but a good amount of gas given to the car! Any suggestions of what this noise is? Sounds like a can of nails being vibrated! I did run into some rough road surfaces that bounced me around but I dident think enough to do damage! Confused ARghh!!

Sounds like detonation from your description. You could put some higher octane fuel (91oct) and see if the pinging goes away. If it does you need to have the tuner give you a new file so you can run the octane you want.
The best description is marbles being dropped into a tin can.

If you are comfortable with making adjustment to the tune, if the tuner left the user adjustments open, you could pull timing and/or add fuel to the areas needed.

+1 on engine ping under load. Fill up with a higher octane than what your tune calls for. It should go away if that's what it is. I'd try your other tunes also, to see if they ping with the fuel in your area. Your tuner can write new tunes to compensate.

Mix in some some race gas, it smells great!

You can also check if there's any rocks stuck in the skid plate. I had that once which caused that metallic rattling sound.. If not, then just try higher octane.
