Default 275 wide tires on OEM rims...step inside please if you have them

Got any pictures of them installed on your OEM 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 rims?

how do they sit under the fender?
nearly flush?
recessed an 1" or some other increment?

just wondering how they look with 8.5" rims. I'm contemplating running 275/45 (rear) and 255/45 (front) rubber. and I want the rubber damn near flush with the lip of the fender
my stocker KDWs 235's just aren't cutting it. I drive somewhat aggressive, and the damn things spin way too easily...utterly worthless.

I figure 275's will help solve that issue when I launch semi-hard

please reserve comments on fitment for elsewhere. I know 275's on 8.5" isn't approved by the manufacturers, but they do work and I'm willing to risk it since I don't speed, nor do I autocross or road race. Hell, I rarely break 60 MPH. I just get to that Posted Limit ASAP.

Keeping my OEM rims can save me $1,000 or more since I'm in Hawaii and shipping $$$ are ridiculous. But it needs to look good, as well as function well

I have 275/40/17 Nitto 555R Drs and they fit NO problem. They make me feel I could run an even wider tire too.

Do it and if you want it to fit flush, just get yourself a wheel spacer, there are tons of sizes available!

Don't want to highjack thread, but Nuke how do you like those Eagle F1 A/S tires.
I have a set of Magnum 500 wheels on order from AM and am looking at those
to run 265/40 on 18x9F and 275/40 on 18x10R. I'm lowered 1" on HR Sport springs.

FYI the stock 17s are only 8" wide.

I think they're excellent but don't get them if you intend any winter driving. Despite the A/S rating, they're about as good as most other all-seasons; they suck in snow. Get the F1 summer tires and a dedicated set of snows. Hijack done.

Snow! LOL!

The stock 17's are 8". I don't have pics of 275's on the stock rims, but I have some M&H drag radials on a 17x9. These are 275/50 and sit perfectly flush.

Nice sidewall, moosestang. No THAT'S sexy! Sweet. SOOOO much better than those 20's with the rubber bands around them we keep seeing.

Keep rubbing the "snow" thing in... It'll help get me to take an assignment in the south sooner!
