I've done a good deal of research and spent a lot of money on naturally aspirated ambitions (ie gears, cams, tires, suspension etc). I think I have a good level of real world experience on what makes heavy vehicles fast lol.
I'm no "expert" by any means and you still havent specified your intentions. If you want to win "stoplight to stoplight" a Saleen (screw-type) may be your best bet. If you want to win in the last 1/3rd of the quarter mile or high-speed runs the centrifugal is your s/c IMO.

yes the most will happen on the road...my intentions are just get good power and somebody also told me to put others gears in with a vortec and you almost get the same low power as saleen...is that thru and is that safe to change???

They pointed you in the right direction for sure. Gears get your heavy car moving and boost takes over later lol. Great advice!

Yeah I agree with you there man. They are both good superchargers. Even with the non-intercooled Vortech, I have a hard time keeping my 275 rear tires stuck to the ground with 3.73 gears installed. There isn't much "lag" at all. I'm sure the gears and driveshaft help with that. If I take off from a stop slowly so I'm rolling, then dump the throttle I'm in boost within 2 seconds, tire spin and all, and I can roast the tires to the point the car is sliding sideways at least well into 3rd gear. The centri unit isn't lacking power really, and it pulls hard overall. I never run out of boost, just RPMs.

Ralph, I don't know what your climate is like there, but if its hot, definitely get the HO. Otherwise you can save some money on the non-intercooled kit and will probably be happy. The difference in power is only about -10%, but the difference in price is about -27%.
