Default Vortec VS Saleen

Hi guys
how are you so far away my USA friends?

tomorrow i am going to order an supercharger ,first i wanted the vortec high output but know i am have changed my mind because a lot are saying saleen stage 2 is better and direct boost and not like the vortec an lag in performance...
In the streets i can not race that much here in The Netherlands (very small streets), so it is more for the road but does saleen have the same performance as vortec on the road ? and power?

Also wanted to keep my car since i have done a lot a couple of years so not to much damage to the enigne.....to my mustang 2005 automatic

If you have "small streets" and don't plan to race often the centrifugal (vortech, procharger etc) is the perfect setup. They produce boost higher in the powerband so you can tool around town without producing boost all the time. I plan to have a centrifugal s/c with 4.10 gearing and blower cams (springs, retainers) for high rpm hp. Around town will be easy driving and when I need to push it over 3k rpm it will rip up to 7k. That's my opinion.

Do you have good tuners in the netherlands? another reason to go with a centrifugal s/c. they're easier to tune and intercool at low boost levels.

He said "for the road". I'm getting this picture of germany with small congested roads that you never get over 30mph on and "roads" lol that you really open her up on, where 3k+ rpm is the norm.

And the Vortech HO is fairly easy to install.

A centrifugal is undeniably more efficient at high rpm.

Let me put it a different way. What kind of supercharger do you see winning races at the dragstrip? Procharger, a centrifugal design, is the benchmark. Twin-screw and roots-type with the right setup do well but the cars that pull up top to 7k rpm all run centrifugal s/c's or turbos. Build your drivetrain to withstand 7k+ rpm and get some cams that support that rpm level with a centrifugal supercharger if you want to run with the european turbo'd cars.
