Help on should I buy this used Roush
Here is a 2005 Stage 1 Roush I am considering buying but will have to fly down to pick it up just to drive it back up north where it will sit till spring. The car seems like a good deal but I'm not sure what the going rate should be for a Stage 1 with a Vortech supercharger and various other add-ons.
Let me know is this a good deal and should I make the trip down there or wait to see whats on the used market next spring? Also I have seen other deals that seem too good to be true and are because the phone numbers listed are phony-I have talked to the seller over the phone and everything seems legit but is there anything else I should check other than Carfax that could prevent me buying a $500 plane ticket down there and then needing one back if I don't get the car?
Let me know your opinions or any knowledge for the subject.

Just looked at an 06 with 20k for $21k + tax and would not take a penny less car had no upgrades it was white w/blue striping but the blue w/white is way sweeter IMO. $26,900 seems strong for this time of year w/35k IMO

The only vehicles I've really been comparing this with are Roushes, the Roush 427s which I have found are 2007s for around 28K, this car is a little different because its a Stage 1 but has a supercharger and enough upgrades that should be compared to a Stage 3. I'm guessing the time of the year doesn't matter as much to the seller as he is in Louisiana where the car can probably be driven all year round.

go here and do some research. as per the vin check it is a stage 1. Not sure on the interior since they list red but did not see any cars with blue on the 05 production #s so I think the seat covers were added. 26K on top of the price the dude is smoking something.

If it was me I would by a 427 with the factory super charger. I got my Roush from these guys off e-bay and had no issues.

Here are some of the same pictures along with a picture of his sticker price when he bought it.
They have MSRP for '05 Mustang GT at $26,305 than shows his 'Roush Package' valued at $26,706 with a couple other minor things for a total MSRP of $55,789- definately seems inflated for a Stage 1 even with a supercharger and other options installed but I'm not sure if this was common back in '05-also I didn't ask him if he paid this full price or significantly less
