Default $200 for a Shaker 1000, good price?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Shaker 1000 system (trunk amps) for $200. Is this a good price? Also, am I pre-wired for this setup? If not, is it a hassle? I currently have the Shaker 500 stereo, thanks!

I don't believe it is wired for that. I also have the 500.

you are not wired so its not worth the effort imo. i would ditch the 500 headunit first before anything else and replace the main 4 speakers.

that price + the wiring and the subs...yeah good deal

but if it's just for the subs...no

Your car is not pre-wired. And Ford uses a different wiring setup for the subs than damn near everybody else does. Google it and you'll see what I mean.

I love my Shaker 1,000 subs. But there are better aftermarkets. So unless those for sale come with all the wiring I suggest you pass.

Thanks, I don't feel like wiring the setup. I'll keep what I have.

I could be wrong, but I believe you also need the shaker 1000 head unit.

Since we are on the skipper deal. I am in the process of changing out the 500. Its ok for a stock unit but it lacks mids, No bass definition. What Id like to know if anyone has installed different subs in the doors and keeped the factory amps? I know the subs are DVC 1.2 ohm. I dont know what the amps put out? It seems every thing about this unit is a PIA. I have done a system in just about everything i own and this is the worst to deal with. I just got done putting ARC comps in the front Thanks
