What gears do you have???

Gears.
I have done much research on this topic and have found that the 3.73 gears are not nearly as big as a bang for your buck as the 4.10 gears are. Everyone says that it feels like that car has just had 1,000 lbs. lifted off the car. I hear you loose a little bit of your top end (how often are you going 100 plus? take into consideration) and you loose just a little bit of your fuel economy on the highway but not that much. All and all i hear its one of the best mods you can do to your stang. Good luck and let me know whichever works out for you.

I can't take credit for this superb spreadsheet, but it calculates the different RPMs given your tire size & gear ratio, and transmission.
Just enter your tire specs, transmission, and gear ratio (it lets you choose a few ratios to compare them within the same sheet) and you'll have a ton of info.
The forum won't allow uploading of an Excel (.xls) file, so I had to zip it.
Edit to add: And thanks to poster bynumj for it. At least that's where I first found it.
