Default whats wrong with this picture?

hey guys ok... here ya go... my tachometer has been broken for about 2 years, thats fine i can deal with that, but just today my spedometer has been screwing up... i am parked in this pic and look at my instrument cluster...

how should i go about this? its out of warranty but its an 05 with only 46K on it. i have no aftermarket electrical equipment so there is no reason for it to do this... its way to early to have any kind of problem here... do you guys think ford may cover this fully? or at least some sort of assistance/compansation?

Glitches...
You're faster parked than most when they roll.
You've got a hell of a set-up on that car!!

you are out of warranty so they arent obligated to cover anything. that said, if you are loyal to a dealer( bought the car there and get it serviced there) they might good will warranty it for you. but only if you are a valued customer.

i know, i haul *** when im parked!!!

k, ya thats what i thought, i just got back from the dealer, she said that shel call me back in a couple hours... she said shel have to look at my history with them like u said... which ive had all my paint and bodywork done there and when i threw my mustang over a curb and broke my axle and etc, i had them fix it... so hopefully thats sufficient, not where i bought the car from but it has been where ive been going since.

she said they will prob have to change my whole cluster, i was wondering if i pay them the diff if they would do a GT cluster for me?

I fixed mine for $300.00. They have a problem with the stepper motors in 05 Most speedo shops will fix them for $145.00 . Their a guy on E bay that will sell you the motors with instruction. Ford get 300.00 exchange it's real easy to change out. My car had 22,000 miles on it when it started to that Ford Didn't warranty it but they know all about the problem. Good luck with yours. Some thing funny happen when I got the new one when I put my car in reverse it beep like a warning my car in reverse??go figure maybe they do that on a Rental???

Go change out for a GT500 cluster since you need a new one.

just buy a new one on eBay.

it will be cheaper than letting the Dealership fix it. only problem is that the Inst. CLuster holds your mileage data. So you have to buy one that is relatively close to your current mileage

or say screw it and just throw one in there with any mileage you want (illegal btw).

You can also upgrade to a GT or GT500 setups at the same time.
