Default what gears did the 5 speeds come with and how to tell

the topic says it all, I have heard mention of 3.31's and 3.55's in 5 speed mustangs, I am wondering how can you tell what the car has if you are looking at buying a used one.

Yes, there should be a sticker on the differential. Another way to tell is from the label on the door jamb, if you can figure it out.

For example, the Workshop Manual for 2007 says:

BG--3.31--non-limited slip, base vehicle with manual or automatic transmission

CD--3.55--limited slip, GT with manual transmission

CG--3.31--limited slip, GT with automatic transmission

All wonderful, except I think that in 2007 the standard ratio for the GT with manual transmission was 3.31, and the 3.55 was an option. But the Workshop Manual doesn't show the code for the manual transmission standard ratio. I don't know what the codes are for other years.

why would anyone want a mustang with no LSD, without it, you have one wheel peel. I thought all these cars came with that, looks like another thing I need to look for when buying a used mustang,

where is the sticker on the differential??

and if it has 3.55's is that guarantee LSD??

how much is it to add LSD if the car did not come with it?

do they all have LSD?!?!?

I just drove an '07 with 3.31's IMO that is the wrong friggen gear for the car!!! I took it up to about 80 and never left 3rd gear, its like what are the other 2 gears for.

I think this car had axle code CG, and I verified it was 3.31 on the diff cover
