Surely there's something legally that can be done about that.

I've read all three threads (S197,here and modularford). There were alot more issues than what Mark had to say. But it's still not his fault and all three companies (COMP,livernois,RET) should get together and make a desicion.

I did business with ST in the past. Adam is as knowledgable as most anyone else, and a great tuner. He builds great engines and is willing to do whatever his customer says.

My problem with Adam was getting ahold of him. Very difficult to say the least. That's almost an industry standard from my experience.

Agreed x10!
Unless 1.they didn't read though entire thread at Mod Forum and read the facts or 2. they don't understand the facts.

I disagree in a way. Livernois built the motor and shoulda coulda woulda noticed the bent cam swapped it out for a good one and avoided all of this. And for them being the one who sold and put the motor togg they are responsible to make the customer happy and fix the mistake then take the bent cam up with comp. But on all three sides its a bad deal...My 2 cents

from what i've read, there was no bent cam.
comp inspected the returned cams and found
a minor issue with one of the lobes, but nothing
that would cause a binding issue with the cam
journals.

The motor was NOT built by Livernois.

For all of you saying that it's all the vendors responsibility here hear me through. At what point does the consumer have to take responsibility for what they are attempting to achieve? If you take the time to read all the facts stated, the theory is that the shop that Mark took the heads to to be torn down and flow tested re-installed them with an OEM gasket (block was a big bore). So whose to blame here?

The thing is these aftermarket parts (or most) don't come with a warranty for a reason. Things go wrong, way wrong, and when they do you learn from them every time. I don't care how much they cost because anyone that's serious about motors has spent well over the amount being claimed in any given year.

Some of you guys need to go back to the basics when it comes to motors. Throwing money doesn't always result in a better/stronger/faster motor.

that is the question.

something i find interesting is that there is one
piece to this puzzle that has not been mentioned
yet as far as i know. but since i am neutral and
not taking sides, i think folks will have to find it
for themselves. the only hint i will give is that
it's buried in one of the build threads on one of
the other forums.

it has to do with why the engine wouldn't turn
over, upon initial startup.
