I have 'em, love 'em, zero problems. Save yourself the headaches and have an autoglass place install them. That's what I did. They came out perfect.

I've had mine a couple years and held up well. I got mine pre-painted from SHR and had a glass shop do the install...

Great mod, quality is very good as others have said. One of my favorite mods to date.

I'm just drooling here!
SHR Louvers are the best looking ¼ window louvers out there.

How much do glass shops generally charge to do this? I know I would be too chicken to get it done. Plus I would get the painted ones.

They charge me $75 for the job.
If I take off the plastic trim for them so all they have yo do is cut, it's cheaper still.

I had a customer that did it himself because he thought that he could easily save money...
He ended up fugging the job up (paint scratching etc...) although he bought the tool for the job (about $75, lol).

Anyway, leave this to the pros.

They're good quality and they are the only ones that don't kill the roof line because they're recessed.

The only reason I don't have them is because I like the look of the factory ones as well.
They look like the 65/66 Shelbys.
I used to think all the 60's stangs with louvers had the kind of louvers that stuck out (like today's Roush and every other louver not called SHR).

Then I saw this.

Not a good angle there for seeing the louvers. But that's a guy in our local club. His louvers are kinda similar to SHR and I think they are original.

Anyway, SHR makes the best louvers, hands down. They're made from a laser scan of stock glass, so the fit is just like stock glass. I am very, very happy with mine. I also LOVE that there is good visibility through them.

Well, since our S197 quarter glass were burrowed from the 65/66 Selbys, Marcello (SHR honcho) had the right vision by emulating the 65/66 louvers.
He pulled it off really well.

FYI, 67/68 were also functional ones.
