T5 transmission clunky when cold

T5 transmission clunky when cold
as the weather gets colder, i have noticed that the T5 in my '10 v6 coupe is getting rather clunky to shift when it gets chilly outside. 1st is hard to get into unless i first shift to 2nd and then into 1st, and 1st to 2nd is sometimes clunky as well. wondering if this is 'normal' for the T5, and how do you guys mitigate this hard to shift issue when cold (ie better transmission fluids, etc).
btw the tranny shifts fine after about 5 minutes of gentle driving, so really just specifically asking about shifting when cold...
all comments and suggestions welcome, thanks

When I first start my baby up in the morning, sometimes i'll have to shift into 2nd gear as well. I swear my tranny is going to shoot through the front of the car when i shift from 1st to 2nd (when it's cold or on first start up). I'll have to try that Amsoil synthetic transmission fluid.
