Comp Cams XFI/sound?
How loud are the comp cams XFI NSR stage 2 CAMS? I have heard them on you tube, but want a real life opinion of their loudness and sound/lope.
I want to conceal the sound of "power" as much as possible. I have stock mufflers on as well to keep things down. |
Big Mutha Thumpr (stage 3) is what you want then.

;) I don't mind if they sound mean and obviously CAMed with the cut out open and at the track, but I want to surprise people when they think they are running up against a stock GT on the street. :D |
They sound really good actually. Theres a little lope but not like thumprs at all. Had these on my 04, and thats what im putting in my 05.

(-: |
What about the SPR stage 1? I don't think they have a large amount of lope and will give you more power than the NSR/VSR. Of course they do need springs. :)

My modding route for spring is- CAMS economy delete plates Steeda underdrive pullies LCAs and that's it for this year, next year- I will be FINALLY getting a supercharger. (-: When you say more power. how much, in combination with mods given and a tune? (45whpish??) Not trying to run a crazy time or anything, I'd be happy with 12.9@107 and fast on the street with more power up top than now. The 4.10s are great off the line, but from a roll, my top end flattens out around 100ish lol. I get rolled on my turbo civics and bolted on RSXs.. no joke! |
spr stage 1 with CnL manifold is what i am looking at right now :)

(50-55whp gain?) not saying that I could, but if I got it down to 12.5@114 all motor, I'd be pretty much set... |
