Spend $400 and get a Bamachips racing tune for whatever the highest octane gas is available in your area. I just got mine for 93 octane and it's like driving a new car! I only got the tune and kept the stock CAI.

The car is plenty fast and responsive now. I might drop in a K&N air filter too, but not sure. Was thinking of going from 3.55 rear to a 4.10, but probably won't now. The car is that much better with the Bama tune.

if i just added a k and n airfilter would that even do anything without a tune??? also I chipped my old audi a4 and it did nothing but cause problems, I know that car had a turbo and this is a totally different ball game. But Have you guys experienced any issues with chipping or tuning the stang

trust me - buy the tuner. spend the $400. just make sure one of the tunes is a race tune for the highest octane in your area.

bamachips calls it a "race tune." tilden calls it an "all out." each tuner calls it something different. they all are slightly different, but all really pep up your mustang.

eah990 and everyone:

the best bang for your buck is to get this Cold Air Intake:

http://www.cnlperformance.com/2010GT.html

with a custom tune from CnL Performance, they have two types of this intake one which doesn't require a tune and one that does. I purchased the one that does require a custom tune from them and when you by that one it comes with a free custom tune, I had them make me another and it cost me another 50 bucks for it and they come on a CD to load into a tuner to program your computer. I picked the 93 Performance tune regular and the one with the smooth shifting where it increaes the shift pressures of the transmission to where there is no hesitation from going from 2nd to 3rd and so on. My 2010 GT is an automatic and it shift with this tune installed quicker than a manual.

I also got this tuner:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/diablo...ity-t1000.html

So i spent about 400 on the intake with two custom tunes and I got the tuner for 600 so I spent right about 1000 and I get 350+ HP with that combo so its well worth it. The pickup once I was finished with this was amazing and I haven't lost against other GT's and Camaro's yet riding around from time to time.

Thats what I recommend to everyone as the intake from CnL Performance has the best HP gain than any other on the market but remember you have to get a tuner or have the car tuned to get the best HP gain from it.

Take care all and hope this helps.
