When I put mine in I hit the track that weekend. The new Shaftmasters was the only change I made to the car and I hit a new PB that was 0.18 quicker.

Me too, I easily gained 2 tenths of a second. Plus the car feels to accelerate faster and most of the clunking noise while shifting is gone.

.2 is what is mostly claimed, but I don't know what the real world numbers are. I definately was able to feel the difference in my everyday driving.

Is shaftmasters the best bang for the buck when it comes to Al driveshafts for the s197's?

From what I've seen they have the best price and I know it is a great product. Mine has been on for 80,000 miles with no problems.

Does shaftmasters use an adapter or a new pinion flange? That was the deciding factor for me back when I bought my Spydershaft.

I think they offer both for the same price, but it's 7:30am and I dont feel like hunting down the descriptions to find out.
