Alternator should be 100% covered. Why do you think it's bad? What voltage are you getting?

But Ford will only replace it if it tests defective.

Haven´t make any tests, Im going to schedule with delearship for test purposes and in case it has issues request a replacement, wanted to be sure.

My real issue is when starting the car, cranking is not good but it is not happening always just when the car has been sitted for more than 1 day....

Thanks

Its covered.....just take it to the dealership and they will be able to tell you if its good/bad within minutes. If the dealer is too far just take it to an autozone or discount auto parts and they'll check it for free.
