I use a Cobra XRS9930 12 band.

It does a good job and has saved me many times. Unfortunately, laser is hard to detect and I've noticed I never get a warning when a motorcycle cop is on the side of the road using his laser gun. That would have been VERY helpful a few months ago.

Other than laser it does a good job. I can also lock out certain bands that I know are not in use around here so I don't get every automatic door signal (although I still get some).

I have a $40 cobra from wal mart, Its saved my tail more times than I can count, I have had this thing for 4 years, in 3 different vehicles. Its cheap and it works amazing.

It's a V1 for me. Saved my butt many times but now with the laser guns, my Ranger cb/ham radio saves me just about as many times as the V1.
