I got in my car the other day and I got maybe half a block when all of the sudden loud stereo just starts coming through my radio. I have the shakker 500 does anyone know what might cause this? It had a little one that was barely noticable before but now if I have the radio turned on at all its loud as crap and it gets louder when i turn my lights on and louder when i give the car gas. It only does it when the car is started though and radio on. please help

I don't fully understand but I think you mean the radio gets louder when you accelerate. That's one of the programmable features on the Shaker; it allows you to set the radio so it automatically gets louder as engine and cabin noise increase. Check the Owners Manual.

You have a loose ground; have you installed something involving your stereo recently?

Alternator going bad can cause it. Have it checked at Autozone or something for free while it's still on the car.

anytime you get that hum/whine that goes right along with the RPMs of the engine its a wiring problem. most common cause is a bad ground, and the alt can do it to. i would start with the alt. if you said there is something going out on it, i would be willing to bet thats the cause. i personally wouldn't be concerned with the radio, fix the alt problem and the hum/whine should go away.
