+1 on that. I very nearly rear-ended another Mustang with smoked tails a couple of weeks ago. It was a cloudy day and I couldn't see the brake lights light up at all. It was just pure luck that I managed to stop in time.

BTW, I'm not sure smoked tails are even legal in a lot of states.

It really depends on how they smoked the tails, mine from AM are perfectly fine and show light great. However, there are people that are way too generous with the VHT niteshades and you can't see anything through their lights.
