One of my long time friends has an 2007 Z06 which I have been privileged to drive on several occasions. That thing is a beast in the power and handling department. Its in the supercar class or ought to be. 505 NA Hp stock from a 7L V8 into a 6 speed trans-axle. Big Brakes, Goodyear F1 tires. Driver selectable active suspension. HUD (heads up display) instrumentation and driver selectable on the fly engine tunes. 0-60 in 1st gear and 2nd takes it to 100. Its not for drag racing but get it out to run and most private airplanes won't keep up. Its basically a street legal race car. Would I trade my S197 for it. You bet. But you didn't say what year your proposed Z06 trade was from. To the Mustang's credit it didn't cost me 80K to buy it. Has a decent amount of cargo space and a back seat. And is surprisingly a more comfortable car to drive.

The only time you can get a Corvette is if you are:

1. Divorced
2. Bald
3. a D-Bag

Just kidding though, just thought I would keep the stigma alive a little longer!

i had the opportunity to take over my brothers Z06 when I sold my 350z, I actually drove it for about 2 months until I found my stang, (couldnt afford the Zo6 at the time so I bought the stang) ZO6 is a monster! this one was one of very few white ones made and he ended up selling it for 26k. had about 40k miles. Wish i could have kept it Damn college! lol

No schit.
The C4 is the worst in reliability, what a POS.
And you can't keep the interior from falling apart.

C5s and up have my respect though.

Also, the S197 doesn't need a whole lot to handle like an stock base Vette.

if you think the C4 is bad, the C3 is worse, my first car was a '74 corvette, those cars needed to be thrown away once they hit 100k miles. the rearends could not hold the power and are very expensive to rebuild. the interior parts were junk, the problem with those cars is alot of the issues were ones that there wasn't a real fix for

There were schit as well but simpler, thus easier to fix.
