How much will I feel the extra 100 hp and torque?
#23
Since the motor isnt out yet though, we dont know how it will work. Will it last? Assume so given the specs, but no way to know for sure. Also, what about the new 6 speed trans? Don't know how it will go either. Camaros were dropping the 6 speeds stock....
I am just saying that yes it "should" but will it? I hope so......

well, if you really want that car.. I'd start saving money for the trade, read up on it when it finally gets here and then decide. If anything, by then, even if you no longer want the car you could always buy a supercharger and make a good 425+ whp.
(-;
But then again, with the new 5.0s- I bet with a blower they'll be making at least 550whp.. damn it.

your going to loose alot of money, think about all the people that want the 5.0 to so that'll make the price even higher,plus you wont get anything close on a trade in that you would want.So another option is a twin turbo instead of the sc. As far as feeling the difference in hp, i went from 320ish to the wheels with the stock tune to 420 to the wheels with adding a bunch of stuff and custom tune, let me tell you it makes a big difference and is fun as hell.You dont realize how fast your car will be up over 400hp but there comes a point where you might have to much hp and just smoke the tires all the time.

[QUOTE=WeinerDog;6702240]How could anyone know this? No one here has driven (or even seen) one.
But the 435/400 Roush 427R is about a half second quicker in the 1/4, 0.2-0.3 0-60. And that's v. a stock GT. Is the extra $$ for the 412/390 '11 worth it? Don't know, I'll drive one and make that determination. But I doubt it.

a half a second at 100+mph is a big difference, it doesnt seem that much on paper but at the track or street that could be 10 car lenths or more

ditto.. I remember smoking the hell out of an 05 WRX STI and thinking... damn, am did I just get into the high 12s?!?!?!?
Nah, just "first run of the day" luck.. turned out, I ran a 13.4 vs his 13.5...
sure looked like I ran a 12.9 by the number of car lengths I had put on him- his poor reaction time didn't make it look any closer lol.

RED! Any color red but I really liked the candy red of the 10's. My 1978 Z28 Camaro I bought new is red and so many people stopped me on the street and said what a cool car it was. OK, people do that now with my GT but I really would like a nice red with white stripes. That to me says high performance and it looks so good IMHO.
