That's why it's so frustrating that there are not real summer tire options in really wide widths for high horsepower for the Mustang unless you go with a really short tire or too tall of a tire. Erik

For what? 18" rims? You can get a 285mm wide tire, pretty good selection, at near stock overall diameter.

17" rims? You're screwed.

I know what you mean but then you're back into the weight issue again. I was running 305/35 drag radials and loved how they looked fitted on my 18x9.5'' rims. I'd like to run them again if I could find some 200+tw rating summer performance. I think NT05's may run in the 305/35 sizing. soooo expensive though for tires that size when you have to replace a 100 treadwear tire every year or so...they only last about 10k miles in this south texas heat.
