Default 3.73s or 4.10 gears for a 2010 auto?

Well since my next mod will most likely be gears after I get all my suspension stuff done, what gears do you think I should with on my 4.0 2010 5sp auto? It is a daily driver and I dont want my gas mileage to suffer too much but I am looking to add a little more go to it. Also I would eventually like to get a supercharger, mostly likely the X.

If your going FI I wouldn't go more than 3:55s especially since your concerned with fuel economy.

The MPG difference between the 3.73 and 4.10 is not going to be that much, if any. 4.10 is only ~200 rpm more than 3.73 at 70 which is a very small difference on the tach. But, if you're going to s/c, then 3.73 might be a better option.

3.55 is a complete waste of money. Go no less than 3.73. I'm leaning towards 4.10s myself, but I'm N/A and will most likely stay that way.

Just curious, How come? Was it too much torque (if possible), did it snap necks or something? Or did it create less power somehow?

Going through gears too fast. And bad traction issues. And one of them kept snapping axles.

I know a guy with a 2005 Mustang GT with a 302, Auto, 4.10 and a K/B. This is his D/D, but his D/D tires are M&H drag radials and his track tires are M/T. Not the most economical idea, but it works for him. In your case, I would just keep the 3.31 if you plan on going T/S or TVS or 3.73 if centri.

Well Im either going for the X or Vortech, depending on whether or not a what a shaker hood system lol. Also I get a nice discount on the Vortech, I would prefer the X but things are stacked against it. I guess ill just go 3.73s

I didn't notice that you had a V6. Since you have a V6, get the 4.10s no matter what type of S/C you go with.
