I am a little weary of the website I ordered the mount bolt from... I don't want it to take two weeks to get in.. ugh

Just thought I'd also throw out there that there is a sticky in the appearance section on steering wheel removal. https://mustangforums.com/forum/s197...-for-s197.html Alot of good info and pics.

i've looked at that, but he just reuses the steering wheel bolt, but it is torqued to yield so it actually needs to be replaced (this is a measure of safety since a material that is yielded is deformed to the point that when the stress is taken off of it it will not return to its original shape.. this is why it has to be replaced on a new install)

I won't lie to you. I know nothing about swapping out a steering wheel with an airbag. I saw the other thread and looked like good info to tag in here. I agree with you bout the torqued bolt. Let us know how it works for you and post some pics. Sounds like a pretty cool mod.

Im ready for pics too! I am very interested in this install, and am interested in what wiring harnesses will have to be used to get the audio to work correctly!

I'm waiting on the mount bolt to come in (ford recommends replacing it, so I ordered it from a dealer in California) it should be in next Wednesday... will post pics when i install it and let everyone know how it goes
