Just got my GT500 wheel after 4 weeks of backorder! Put it on tonight, looks awesome. I was surprised that the aluminum trim is real. In the 2011 V6 premium I rented, the trim was already damaged in one area and didn't appear to be real metal, but plastic.

Anyway, looks good. I won't bother posting a pic as there are already a hundred of them on this thread.

so i take it that trying to get the audio controls have been abandoned? no one was able to get it to work? has anybody tried combining the gt500 wheel with the aftermarket sync?

I'm looking for 2010-2011 premium steering wheel. Basically, I have a base model and the entire steering wheel is made of rubber and really cheap. I want 1 with leather wrapped..

what is the difference in my 06 v6 wheel and a 2011 gt ? would it be a good upgrade ?

it depends on what type of wheel the 2011 gt comes with. Some come with the rubber, some with leather wrapped.

I personally like the leather wrap more..

I know this is a really old thread, but wanted to let anyone with a 2010 know that the audio controls on a Boss 302, GT500, or 18R leather wheel can be enabled by the dealer. I had mine flashed today and it works great.
