What S/C for 2007 GT to do ~11.9 in 1/4 mile?

The bubble popped when that guy took off like I was walking on the side of the road, yet I had my foot on the gas to the floor. :-)
To -not- have someone be able to do quite that ... would be very nice. I've done pretty good next to most other vettes, older cobras, most bmw's, etc. It's the zippy driving between 65 and ~85 on the highway back and forth that's fun, not insane, just not getting totally dusted is a goal.

If you build your motor and spend quite a large amount of money, a lot more than 6k, you will be able to walk a Z06. But if the Z06 can drive, even still it will be tough.

I'm not a dumb and/or unsafe driver. I live in Cali, very long straight highways with very few cars on them in rural areas. I don't race per-se, certainly not passing massive amounts of traffic ... but the ability to jump ahead of someone on the highway or to just step on it here and there with another driver for fun on the long boring commute home, that's all fine.
and taking off on the street from zero, ya, that's fun too ... nothing wrong with getting up to speed limit quick every once in a while.
why no track? time, wife, family, etc.

You answered your own question: cuz it's fun every once in a while.
