If rattles are bothering you, I would wait for the 11. The reviews I have seen were saying that the 10 is a LOT more quiet than the 05-09. Plus they are pulling some crazy skidpad numbers on the track pack 10s. The front end looks mean as hell on the 10s and it more than makes up for the ugly rear. The new 5.0 sounds awesome too, and you could always add a blower to the 5.0 later

Check ebay motors for gt500's. You won't believe the low prices. If you have the means to get a GT 500 then get it. In the future it will retain value and will become a collectors item if you hold on to it long enough.

A blower? With 11 to 1 compression ratio? 6psi would be the most you could run with...

Can I ask which car you think is more fun to drive? '05 supercharged GT or the GT500?

Was your 05 a vert? Wonder if the weight diff from a vert to a GT500 would be that big a deal, I'm betting the two are very similar. I want a new ride with warranty though I think. Wonder if i can find any new 09 GT500's still sitting around.

As much as I really do miss my GT (because I put so much into it), I forget all about it when I'm pressing the gas pedal with the top down. They both have their positives & negatives.

no, my 05 was a coupe...below is a picture of it. I can honestly feel the weight difference when driving the GT500. It is a heavy car. I'm sure if you look, you'll find 09's sitting around.

Check on Team Shelby as they have a lot of contacts, including some dealers, that can help track down cars that are sitting on dealer lots.

Given the low prices, I have even contemplated selling my GT and getting a used GT500 convertble. But in the end, I would lose a lot of cash and really don't care to have payment for a non-daily driver. For the loss I would incur, I can easily upgrade my short block and have more than enough power to make me happy.

Yeah i will ask around, most of the shelby's i see are still priced pretty high. I'm guessing prices will fall after the annoucnemnet for the 2011 models.
