Spending over a thousand for maybe 15-20 hp maybe less is a waste of money. A CAI, tune and a set of mufflers aren't going to cut it. I'll go with the S/C for the moderate gain of a 100+ hp. It still won't set the world on fire but you won't be the last one away from the light. If you need more you must build the bottom end but the 4.6, 3 valve engine is not worth sinking that much money.

you failed math class in 8th grade didnt you
cai/tune = 25hp/$700 = $28/hp
S/C = 100hp/$5k = $50/hp
i would say its a pretty good deal (mufflers arent adding any HP, sound only)
Granted the s/c has its pluses but you can not beat the bang for buck factor of cai/tune really. mustang 101 really. Now if money isnt a worry then sure start out with the s/c, suspension etc and you are set. But you are an idiot to think cai/tune is a waste of money

My goal was not to spend more than the retail sticker on the car (total including the car). You will never get your money back when you sell/trade a car with mods, so I only modded the car with money I saved by paying invoice and getting rebates. That way, I can enjoy the car without putting too much in it. Hell, if I wanter to spend $7,500 for a supercharger, $2,500 for brakes (a must with more power), and $2,000 on suspension mods, I would have bought a GT500.
I enjoy my car for what it is and I am happy with all my mods. But there will always be faster cars...

nitrous + tuner
cai/tune is a waste on the 2010. just get a tune and you'll still see about 20-25hp gain.

all charts i have looked at give around the same results as the 05-09 models....its no like you are working miracles on the car but the cai/tune package can a different feel to the driving experience

like Jase said, if anything put a K&N filter in it and grab a tuner w/ a more aggressive 93 octane tune loaded.
i was really surprised at how nice the airbox is in the 2010 and that it has an opening going right up to the front grill. it doesn't get any better than that.
but if you want more bang for you buck, you've got to go with nitrous. you can pick up a kit for 600ish and put down an extra 100whp.
